Description:SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing superior customer service through the courteous, efficient, accurate processing of client transactions and providing information to clients regarding the products and services that will best meet their needs.

Duties:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client Services Functions (Percent of time performing these functions – More than 50% of time)

•Open and cross sell multiple financial products and services to new and existing customers to support sales initiatives.
•Promote, assist, and advise clients in the opening and closing of all current products and services.
•Complete appropriate sales tracking and recording in a timely, accurate, and responsible manner.
•Ensure client satisfaction through Gold Star service in the handling of client transactions such as stop payments, check orders, ATM/DEBIT card orders, payroll deduction, direct deposit, etc.
•Ensure accurate and complete account information and data entry adhering to customer identification program (CIP) requirements.
•Maintain adequate follow-up records to proactively assess and develop future relationships and prospects.
•Review and decision daily NSF activity as directed.
•Responsible for performing and adhering to all Departmental and Corporate Gold Star standards.
•Keep updated on changing regulations as they relate to bank products and services and communicate disclosures to clients as appropriate.
•Maintain bank confidentiality as it pertains to all aspects of the bank.
•Follow operating and security procedures for prevention of loss to the bank through fraud, robbery, or other emergency.
•Attend staff meetings as scheduled.
•Perform job functions in accordance with BankFIRST policies and procedures, FDIC, Federal and State regulations and with management approval document exceptions to policy.
•Responsible for complying with Bank Secrecy Act and Office of Foreign Asset control rules and regulations as well as all other applicable laws, rules, and regulations related to banking including the completion of assigned training.


Teller Functions (Percent of time performing these functions – Less than 50% of time)
•Ensure customer satisfaction through the accurate processing of client transactions including deposits, withdrawals, payments, check cashing, transfers, cash advances, cashier’s checks, etc.
•Maintain cash drawer limits and sell excess funds as defined per policy.
•Determine client needs through the utilization of active listening skills and refer the customer to the appropriate resource.
•Maintain a high degree of accuracy through daily balancing of a cash drawer and other negotiable items received or disbursed, reporting any discrepancies or outages to Client Relationship Manager, and posting any needed corrections.
•Assist Accounting with overall branch balancing when requested.
•Initiate and complete research on client transactions and general ledger entries, referring to management as appropriate.
•Serve as safe deposit attendant, and assist with ATM, night drop or vault balancing as assigned.
•Comply with Bank Secrecy Act and participate in annual BSA training.
•All other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
•High school degree or GED required.
•Associates degree (AA or equivalent from two-year college or technical school) preferred.
•6 months – 1 Year Financial Industry experience preferred.
•1 – 2 Years Cash Handling and Balancing experience required.
•1 – 2 Years Teller experience preferred.
•1 – 2 Years Retail and/or Sales experience preferred.
